Community-Driven Legacy
Our History
Mrs. Sheila Pointon officially opened the park on August 4, 2014. Following the completion of the facility, the Pointon family graciously transferred the assets to a registered charity to ensure the park servers the needs of our local community. Our Boards of Directors, led by a chairman and supported by four directors, oversees the park’s operations without taking any payments or expenses, reflecting their commitment to our cause.
Current Operations
The charity was endowed with an initial cash amount to help us through the early stages. Today, our primary income streams include the 3G all-weather pitch, the hire of our grass football pitch, and snack sales. All other activities that the park provides are free of charge. Over summer 2024, we’ve invested significantly in maintaining our facilities, including repairing the playing surface, replacing nets, and upgrading floodlighting.
